A summary of the steps that make up the Grievance and Arbitration procedure (Article 25) for YCCD faculty is on the right. At each step, the faculty member is in consultation with one of the YFA Grievance Officers. The Grievance Officer will attend all personal conferences with you.

 

The details of the process are in the contract in Article 25, including deadlines. Your Grievance Officer will help you with the deadlines.

Not every grievance goes through all the stages. YFA will work toward a resolution at the earliest stage possible.

Remember:

• There must be a contractual violation in order to file a grievance.

• Faculty cannot grieve faculty.
